Nocturnal Beauty

The aim of the project was to create three information visualisations that communicate that bats are at risk in Australia. The project needed to provide the audience with a call to action to highlight what communities can do to help the bats. The information visualisations could take any form as long as they were poetic and visually told a story. The three outcomes needed to act as conversation pieces for public talks.

Nocturnal Beauty is a collection of motion graphic assets and a long narrative scroll designed to be used by the Australian Museum for their website, digital welcome boards, social media posts and any other material in relation to the Grey Headed Flying Fox. The project focuses on telling a beautiful story about the role of the grey headed flying fox as a pollinator and the beauty they bring to the ecosystem. I used this six week project to teach myself how to animate using Procreate and After Effects together.

*In no way is this project actually linked or endorsed by The Australian Museum. This project was created for a University task.
